The Ramblers Association is a charity whose aims are to encourage walking, to protect rights of way and to defend the beauty of the countryside for the benefit of all. 'Ramblers' have local groups throughout the country.
Bury St Edmunds Group was formed in 1977 and we offer an extensive choice of walks for different abilities, and a number of social events as detailed. Although our programme is intended primarily for Ramblers members we are delighted to welcome non-members to come along as our guests for up to three "taster walks" before needing to join Ramblers to be covered by third party insurance on future walks. Membership entitles you to walk with any Ramblers group and all walks are free, but please come prepared for possibility of car-park charges or donations for parking.
